It’s mildly ironic that we went to Phoenix for sunshine and it ended up being cool and even a little rainy. (In Phoenix?) No matter, we still had a lovely extended weekend with my parents.
Highlights – pickleball…
A hike at the Arboretum…
a blues festival…
the Science Center…
eating on the patio…
Thanks to Arizona Lainey and Papa Bear for a really nice long weekend.
Are you all jealous?
Jealous. Check! So awesome. Looks like a great trip!
Dude, you lucked out in the parents home dept. Not sure if I mentioned it, but my dad’s backyard view is CORNFIELDS. Not quite as awesome as those purple mountain majesties. Your parents look like such nice peeps though…I should really fly out there to find out. I’m an ace pickleballer. (Lies, I have no idea what it is).
I am totally jealous of your trip! It looks like you had a blast. And please, how adorable are your parents!?
I am! I am! Looks like you guys had a fabulous time!
I can’t get over that view!! What a great spot to sit and enjoy a morning coffee. 🙂 Looks like you guys had a great time. 🙂
beautiful scenery!
Glad to see Papa Bear is doing well- he looks tan, happy and health. What is pickleball?
Love the view…I think I’d be moving back in with the parents. 😛
I live in Phoenix and I made it a point to leave this weekend. LOL While I’m upset that I missed the rain, I got to play in the snow and that somehow made things better.
Jealous indeed! What a fab weekend. 🙂 And what the heck is pickleball?
whoa! The view from your parent’s backyard is amazing! I’d be more jealous if it weren’t 60s & sunny here today… 🙂
Looks like you guys had a great time!
Did you do any good craigslisting??
That view is amazing, yes I am super jealous lol. I could sit out there all day!
Happy Monday!
You know, I’ve heard of ‘Pickleball’, but never really understood what it is.
What is it?!
Silly me, who new Az – could have so much pretty greenery! lol 🙂 I love your parents backyard!
I love visiting Phoenix!! My bff lives out there. I was supposed to go out there Jan ’10 and the flight was canceled because of the rain and weather in Arizona. Usually it’s because of snow in KS but that time it was the AZ weather!
Looks like great fun! And PICKLEBALL! I remember playing it in high school gym, but no one I’ve talked to has ever heard of it. I was beginning to think it was all in my imagination (or maybe I just had a very creative gym teacher). I will now happily reference this post to anyone who doubts me!
totally jealous!!
and seriously, bella swan has lead me to believe it never rains in phoenix! 😉
that view is amazing. i could sit there for hours. so glad you got to visit them again!
Yup, I’m jealous! Wish the weather would’ve been a little warmer for you, though. But it still looks like a lovely weekend, and completely void of paint brushes, so that’s gotta be worth something, right??
Wow what an amazing view they sure are lucky indeed :+)
Glad to see ya’ll had a great time – I’m ready for our little vacay!
It looks like you had a great time. Yes, I am jealous, it looks beautiful there!
By the way, the fabric you asked about for my Silhouette cover – I found it at my local fabric store. It’s a Moda fabric – Fandango by Kate Spain. I like it so much I think I’m going to go back for more!
