In real life friends

>> Friday, March 12, 2010

Last weekend, I was so excited to finally meet my friend, Jen, from Notes from the Heartland. (Please check out her awesome Family Rules signs, and other projects.) We live in the same neck of the woods (although she's about an hour away), so when I heard about a Cricut class at a local scrapbooking store, I emailed her about it. We both recently got Cricuts, so we got to learn lots of new things to take our Cricut-ing to the next level.

More about that later.

But, I was just so happy about meeting a blog friend in real life, I had to share. Neither of us ended up being 60-year old men and we both came out alive. Imagine. (Although, I'm surprised she wasn't afraid of me. Did you notice that my head is seriously 4 times the size of hers. Weird.)

Have you met any blog friends in real life?

13 people have something to say:

aww! how fun. it's always nice to make a new friend!

i'm actually interesting in hearing about 'circut-ing'. i've been hearing about it a lot lately and i'm not quite sure what it is.

Sweet! I haven't yet but will when I go to Florida in the Spring. I'm excited. I am sure you two had a blast!

Yay! It was a great time Kim...we'll definitely have to get together again...now that we know we're not 60 year old men or psycho killers. ;-)

Awesome! So how do you like your cricut? I have been thinking about getting one.

I have met Shanannigans in real life! We only live like an hour away from each other, and a lot of my friends live out her way.

Plus she lives super close to an amazing local winery!

You are so funny! I am hoping to meet some bloggers from my area. Pam from Bibbidi Bobbidi Beautiful and I are going to host a VA/DC/MD bloggers' get-together in May...hopefully no stalkers will show up. ;)

Yes, Marie-Etta, who blogs Fiddle-dee-dee, and I are friends in real life. We are about 45 minutes apart, but meet every once in a while to go out to lunch. It's really nice to have a blog friend close by!

I've met a couple of local gals -- going to lunch with them tomorrow, in fact. it's so fun and nice to meet people you know you will have something in common with.

Please comment on Kim and Ryan's blog! Every time you do, an angel gets it's wings.

Okay, maybe not. But, Kim usually gets a big smile on her face and says, "They like me, they really like me."
