November goals - how'd I do?
>> Monday, November 30, 2009
This month was not nearly as successful as last month . Oh well, we'll call them stretch goals.
The Wife's November Goals
Fun:
Host a memorable New Moon premier bash for the girls. (Check out the party recap here.)
Make reservations for dinner and other fun things for our anniversary trip. (In process. We have reservations for our anniversary night, and a few other things on the burner.)
Enjoy Memphis during Thanksgiving!(I'll post soon.)
Read two books. (Didn't even finish one. Fail!)
Learn a new technique with my camera and practice. (Fail! Never even tried. But, I did practice by taking lots of photos.)
Send Christmas cards. (Success! They went out today.)
DIYing/Crafting:
Sew something new. (Success!)
Paint something. (Success!)
Make a Christmas quilt and pillows. (Fail! But, I did get the fabrics, so I'm excited to get started.)
List and begin all homemade Christmas gifts. (In process. Got going on this.)
Continue organizing photos. (In process. Long way to go on this.)
Gardening:
Pull bulbs and store. (Success!)
Write an overview of gardening - what went well, what we'll do differently. Make a list of what to plant next year. (Fail! I need to do this, for me more than anything.)
Home:
Curtains in office. (Fail!)
Take down Fall decor, clean and begin HolidayPalooza. (In process.)
Cooking:
Make a new recipe. (Success! Smoked chicken and pork.)

Pass tests (Success! Angels singing.)
How did your month go?
How did your month go?
8 people have something to say:
You should get bonus points for even having a monthly to-do list like this. I do well if I can make a daily one--much less get it all done!
good job! (you should get bonus points for hosting an on-going blog party with a button and everything!) :)
I am going to go make my goals for December! I never even did them for November (fail..)
Love this, great job. You are so organized. I did this for the fall and need to get started on my holiday one.
Your New Moon party was over the top!
Awesome! I love that you make so many goals for yourself - I've gotten so lazy on the accountability front. You should see December (tomorrow), it's laughable.
Kim,
I love your monthly goals! It's so fun to see you reflect on them and see how much you're able to accomplish!
I tried to start a couple months ago and it didn't go well. I think I've got a plan to start a bit smaller and try again this month. Wish me luck.
PS. I feel like you shouldn't say "failed" it makes me sad for you. I like to focus on all the accomplishments!
My Christmas cards went out today too! : )
You did awesome in November, the books will be there in January and Febuary when it's freezing and nothing to do. : D
Thank you for the comment about my cooking, I very much appreciate it!!
I'll give you a tip, do as I do and only post the successes of each month. :-) Conveniently forget to mention the ones you made ZERO progress on. :-)
