Someone asked what we would do with so many pumpkins from our garden. I picked 12 at first. I’ll probably have another 12 this week.
Well…

The abundance of pumpkins helped our two window boxes get fall-ified this weekend. I left the ivy in the boxes, cause it’s still growing well. I pulled everything else out.

The little bitty pumpkins and gourds are from our garden and Ryan’s parent’s garden.
The white-and-orange pumpkins were picked up from the Farmer’s Market. Only 50 cents! Love.

The larger pie-looking pumpkins were also swiped up at the Farmer’s Market (or perhaps they should be called punkins, Emily?).

And, they even make me smile from inside.
My inspiration: I found a really cool picture of a window box filled with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes in Country Living 500 Quick and Easy Decorating Projects and Ideas.
Of course I couldn’t find it online.
The white chippy columns windowbox with the bittersweet is my photo from a few years ago! Lo ved it then and still do!!
What a great idea for the mini pumpkins, I love it!
I really enjoyed looking around your blog! What great ideas!!

Kim, I am so jealous! I totally wish that I would have planted pumpkins this year!
Have you seen Pumpkin Peppers? I definitely want to plant some of those next year too!

Love this idea, yours look great! Have a sweet day!
I think I’m going to hang window boxes next year just to I can put pumpkins in them!

This is a gourdgeous idea! LOL
Wow! I am sooo copying this! 🙂
Pumpkins are as crazy as I get when it comes to fall decor. I love the overflowing abundance look of so many of them in the window box!
It never fails, the squirrels always get to munching on ours. Any tips, you domestic diva, you?
Beautiful! How fun that you “made” your own pumpkins. They look great all piled in the window boxes!
Great idea!!
Gorgeous! I wish I had window boxes! LOL
love these, how adorable!! I want to make fall boxes now but not sure how i would take care of them, my windows are up pretty high, but still might be worth it for the total cuteness of this!
I love it. In your second photo, the one little pumpkin looks like he wants to jump out of the box :).
I love the second inspiration photo the best, and your pumpkin collection looks so similar! Do you have any dry branches around? A branch or two in your boxes would look lovely too.
very cute!
Oh how sweet they look in their orangey goodness, all tucked in together :o) I love the name of your blog too…sweet.
peace, cindy

Those window boxes are the best ever!!! I am always so jealous of how creative you are
I love it!!
Loving this idea. Our window boxes are sad and drab right now. I’ve been thinking of finding fake flowers for them since I haven’t succeeded in growing anything in them since they’re so shady. But now I can do pumpkins for fall!
I love it! I think I’m going to do that with my apartment porch…I’ve got my overhang flowerpots on the balcony…I may just fill them with those tiny, cute punkin’s! 😉
Thanks for the idea…it’s great!
This looks just darling. Can’t wait to see it in person. Great idea!
What a fab idea!! I need to bookmark this for when we have a house!
so cute!! you can’t beat a bunch of free pumpkins!
Wish we had so many pumpkins to deal with – it looks super cute!

I just stumpled upon your blog today from danielle and Clints Bog and I really love what you did here with the pumpkins. Do you use the pumpkins for cooking too, for soups etc.?
Love it. Now I want a window box and approximately 24 pumpkins:)
Love this idea…window boxes get so sad looking this time of year!
ADORABLE!
I only wish my lonely, smashed on one side, pumpkin had many pumpkin friends with which to dwell on our front porch.
Alas, the other pumpkins rotted away. Booooo 🙁
