The Wife's June Goals:
1. Begin composting.
I'll share soon.
2. Make a new recipe.
3. Organize files in office.
Finally.
4. Re-evaluate budget with Ryan (I'd like to sit down and look over our budget numbers to make sure they still make sense for us.)
5. Set-up direct withdrawals for our savings.
Didn't get around to this. Silly.
6. Finish family tree shadowbox.
I think I have all the names now, so I should be able to get to it. That is, if I can find the notes with names that my mom gave me last week that I have already misplaced.
7. Read "I hope they serve beer in hell" (book club).
(Sidenote: I didn't actually read this book, but I read two other books so I'm giving myself credit. Thanks to Longbrake Living's recommendation, I read "The 19th Wife" - which was excellent. I also read "The Host," which was also pretty good.) 8. Sewing machine manual, practice with tutorials and sign up for a sewing class.
9. Make outdoor pillows for the deck.
10. Sand and repaint outdoor chairs.
11. Go through boxes in basement and purge - then, hold a yard sale to get rid of all the stuff we don't need.
YIPPEE!
12. Go somewhere with Ryan for a few days during our week off.
Eh.... I'm not going to dwell. The months go by so fast, don't they?
7 people have something to say:
Yay! I'm so glad you liked The 19th Wife! I can't wait to see your tree shadow box -- please give directions for us!
DAY-um Kim! You were more productive in June than I've been in a while. And by "a while" I mean the last 5 yrs.
I have issues w/ goals. =[
Awesome month of June - you rock. You should see my goals for July...pitiful. Truly. And definitely putting 19th wife on hold at the library now.
You shouldn't dwell! That is a mighty productive June!
That is the only way I get anything done, making a list. If I can cross anything off, I consider myself successful.
Good job!
Indeed...the months DO fly by. Can you believe it's July 1st?!?!?!
Make sure you keep the dogs out of the compost. I just learned compost can be toxic to dogs and wildlife while doing an interview for my blog. Here's the link for more info: http://barkaboutit.blogspot.com/2009/07/5-summer-pet-safety-tips-you-might-not.html
They seriously fly by! I was like, WHAAA? It's July already? Yeah. Great job in June!
